Position: Feature Producer
Responsibilities:
- Primary World producer and secondary UX and Performance producer for an unannounced Sims 4 expansion.
- Working closely with design, art direction, and engineering to create a beautifully realized world that showcases new gameplay content.
- Collaborating with UI/UX, and the UX research team to develop intuitive new tools for player creation.
- Syncing up regularly with client systems and gameplay engineering to keep the game running smoothly on an aggressive min-spec.
- Leading and organizing cross-disciplinary collaboration to take feature designs from the design document to in-game.
- Working with designer and development directors to keep the project in scope, while still offering the best value to our players.
- Furthering the Sims brand via official Twitch live streams, an official Maxis Twitter account, and Sims Camp presentations. (Media-trained.)
- Continually reassessing team development processes for maximum efficiency.
Achievements:
- Oversaw the production of key features for The Sims 4 City Living, including new careers, new systems, and new gameplay objects, resulting in the fast-selling expansion pack yet for the Sims 4.
- Assisted in the production of The Sims 4 Toddlers Update, a free update that increased monthly active users by over 130% and led to the highest number of daily active users since launch.
- Part of a task force that established new work processes to increase cross-discipline communication and productivity team-wide, and help bring Maxis into the modern era of game development.
